the biggest part of me.

the television was good to me yesterday. i watched 2 great films. :D
first was Big Fish. i cried more on my sofa than i did at the theatre.

"you were a big fish in a pond, but now you're in the sea and you're drowning."

that line stuck to my head. and you know, i thought hard about what the film was trying to say. was it the need for imagination? was it that there's a lack of colour in our practical world?

the second film was Nobody Knows. it's this japanese indie film about 4 kids, whose mother decided to leave to "pursue her own happiness". the 4 kids were left to survive on their own, living on the money their mother left them. they never went to school. the eldest brother had to go marketing, pay the bills, take care of the home, and he was 12. it's based on a true story. the mother never returned.

the 14-year-old boy who played the eldest brother beat Tony Leung to win Best Actor at last year's Cannes' Film Festival. :D and gosh he's so pretty. AND talented. i'll have him any day.

today was quite exciting. i went to shermaine's 5th birthday party!
she's so adorable. no matter how much a rascal she is, you just can't say no to her.
